About Oubre Medical.

Dr. Oubre has been an MD since 2010, and a functional medicine doctor since 2014. After moving to Austin and joining a small practice, he accidentally discovered functional medicine.

While he was in a traditional medical school (MD), he trained in all of the conventional medical treatments. After he started using advanced lab testing and treating patients’ root cause issues, he realized that he had been lied to by conventional medical school.

Since discovering functional medicine, Dr. Oubre has made it his focus in life to learn as much as he can for his patients. He treats anyone and everyone, and prides himself on being relentless in every patient’s care until he finds their unique solution.

Dr. Oubre is a tireless advocate for functional medicine. You can find him rambling about it for hours on any platform that gives him a microphone: YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, podcasts, TV, radio, etc. – Dr. Oubre’s other passion is to teach.

Randy was born and raised in Abilene, Texas. Most people that meet him would agree that he has a heart the size of Texas, and it shows in how he interacts with patients. He has had his own health struggles, and he sympathizes with yours – he is a true partner in your wellness journey.

Randy met Dr. Oubre at an Ozone Conference in 2021, and they immediately connected. In fact, at the conference, Dr. Oubre injected Randy's knee with ozone as a practice patient. It must have gone well, since they decided to team up just a month later by opening an Oubre Medical location in Abilene, Texas.

Randy is married with several children as well as multiple dogs. He and his wife love visiting Fredericksburg.
