Executive Physical FAQs

What is an Executive Physical?

An executive physical is a fully comprehensive health examination that utilizes cutting edge technology with the added convenience of being contained into a one or two day process. The executive physical investigates all aspects of your health whereas routine physicals only order tests that are determined to be necessary. For a list of all of the tests and services included in our executive physical, please refer to our program details.

How much does an Executive Physical cost?

What can I expect during my exam?

You can expect that your day will be intricately planned. You will have limited free time, as there are a multitude of tests and evaluations that need to be completed. You can expect exceptional service and you will be greeted with smiles and happiness throughout your day. You will be provided with a schedule of events prior to your examination day. There will be entertainment provided for the tests that do not involve your focus and concentration. Depending on the location, we will provide a flat screen TV, iPad, and Wi-Fi. If your executive physical is in the comfort of your own home, you can choose where we set up the equipment for entertainment purposes.

Can I use my Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA)?

Usually, you can use your HSA or FSA for anything that you pay for at our office. However, you will want to check with your individual carrier to see if this is allowed for an Executive Physical. You can certainly use your HSA or FSA to pay for any supplements, lab studies, or physical therapy that your physician prescribes.

Can I use my health insurance to pay for my Executive Physical?

No, we do not accept health insurance at our office. If you have any wellness paperwork for your job or health insurance, we will be happy to complete these forms after your Executive Physical. We will utilize your health insurance to keep lab costs down. You may choose to not use health insurance for your labs.

Do I need to bring food?

You will not need to bring any food or drinks. We will accommodate any requests that you may have. If you have specific requests that we are unable to accommodate, we will let you know. We will have healthy options available to you throughout your Executive Physical. We will be contacting you before your exam day in order to plan your day. We will be serving you a hot breakfast, Starbucks coffee, fresh lunch, and snacks. Our holistic nutritionist will help you plan healthy yet filling items to eat and drink.

Can I bring a partner, spouse, friend, or family member?

You are welcome to bring someone with you. Please only invite one person to join you as too many people can distract you from your health. Also, please do not bring any children since you will be too busy throughout the day and unable to tend to them. Anyone you bring will want to bring items to entertain themselves for many hours. In addition, your health will be reviewed in detail, so you will not want to bring anyone that does not need to know your personal medical details.

The most important time to have someone with you is most likely during the end of the day when you are meeting with our holistic nutritionist and functional medicine physician. It is good to have a friend or partner listening in order to help you absorb as much information as possible.

Can my friend or partner have an executive physical at the same time?

At this time, we are only able to accommodate one person at a time due to time constraints. In the future, we plan to accommodate multiple people at the same facility. We encourage you to contact us, and we can accommodate both of you as close together as possible.

What do I need to bring to my executive physical?

You will not need to bring many items since everything will be provided. You will need to bring personal items:

  • Two sets of clothes (exercise set and comfortable set)
  • Tennis shoes
  • Laptop / iPad (for note taking and entertainment)

What time do I need to show up?

One of our professional staff members will be contacting you to review your schedule of events and food preferences prior to your exam.

When will my executive physical be completed?

We will stay as long as needed to review results, perform minor surgery, or order additional tests if needed. We expect that each day will end before 5pm.

We do not do screening CT Scans with our Executive Physical. Why not?

CT Scans expose you to high amounts of radiation. CT Scans have a low yield of finding any abnormalities that would not be detected by detailed history, physical, and ultrasound. Our recommendation is to first get an ultrasound of the area that you are concerned about. If you are still concerned about a specific problem or area, we can order the appropriate low-dose radiation CT Scan of that specified body part.
